Meet Dr. Garg
Dr. Garg is a board certified vitreo-retinal surgeon and a native to South Florida. After completing her high school at Pine Crest, she received her Bachelor’s Degree from University of Michigan, Ann Arbor and her M.D. degree from University of Miami. While in medical school, Dr. Garg was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society, received the Ophthalmology research and clinical award, and founded a nonprofit organization that provided healthcare outreach in India. Dr. Garg completed her ophthalmology residency at William Beaumont Hospital in Michigan where she trained with some of the top retina specialist in the world. After residency, Dr. Garg entered a two-year fellowship in Vitreoretinal Surgery and Disease of the Retina and Macula at Northwestern University in Chicago, IL. She has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications on ocular disease and has presented her research at local and national meetings.
Dr. Garg is committed to providing top compassionate care to her community. She specializes in the medical and surgical treatment of macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal vascular diseases, ocular inflammation and infections, macular holes, macular puckers, retinal membranes, various types of retinal detachments, and dislocated intraocular lens and lens fragments. In her free time, Dr. Garg enjoys spending time with her children, traveling with her husband, outdoor activities, cuisine, and the arts. Dr. Garg is fluent in English, Spanish and Hindi.
